Bellewood Acres Pumpkin Patch in Lynden
It just wouldn’t be Fall without a visit to your local pumpkin patch. Luckily, Bellewood Acres is close by. Located on lush farmland, The Bellewood Acres Pumpkin Patch promises to have whatever shape, size, or color pumpkin you’re looking for. And there’s even more good news: it’s open to visitors during the entire month of October.
So make sure to carve out some time for a visit.
Bleedingham Presents: The Night Gallery
Downtown Bellingham celebrates the macabre in Northwestern Art with The Night Gallery at The Majestic Ballroom on Oct. 26.
The Halloween-centric event features ghoulish artists, crafters, filmmaking and entertainment panels.
The Gallery comes as a kick-off for an amateur horror film festival scheduled to take place that weekend.
One thing is certain: it’s sure to be a horrific time.
Oktoberfest in Bellingham
Oktoberfest, which has set high standards for *ahem* merriness (in both the city of Munich and beyond), gets a PNW Doppelgänger.
Bellingham’s unique take on the harvest-time classic takes place at Bellingham Technical College’s Settlemyer Hall on Oct. 6th. Advance admission tickets are $25, while the at-the-door cost of entry is $35.
Note: Bellingham Oktoberfest is for revelers 21+ years of age.

Bellingham Farmer’s Market
Make sure to get some good nutrition in in-between all of the Halloween-time reveling! For that, there’s the Bellingham Farmer’s Market. Voted as one of the Top 10 Farmer’s Markets in the PNW, the BFM supports local sustainable agriculture by pairing patrons with local food products. You’ll be glad to know that in addition to the market’s organic offerings, its food products are locally grown/ crafted from nearby Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
The BFM is open Saturdays through December 22nd from 10am-3pm.

BBay Social Run
Looking to maintain your longevity? Get your blood pumping with the BBay Social Run Oct. 11 at 6-8pm*. This FREE event enables you to stay fit and healthy while also making new friends. Routes are typically about four miles, include waterfront and trail-based locations, and conclude at a local hotspot.
*Meet-up location is 1431 North State St. in Bellingham. Check-in starts at 5:45.
