2023 Jeep Renegade Technical Specs & Exciting Features
Entry-level utility vehicles like the Jeep Renegade are often described as being great vehicles for first-time buyers like Gen-Z drivers, in contrast to larger utility vehicles being marketed as the perfect family vehicles. But you know for whom else the 2023 Jeep Renegade is a great choice? Empty nesters. Parents whose children have grown up and left home no longer need all of the extra seats or cargo space of a larger SUV, but they’re likely still used to the benefits of such a vehicle.
You don’t want to cram into a tiny car for the first time in 18-plus years, so a subcompact crossover like the Renegade is a great option. Let’s highlight some of the vehicle’s technical specs and exciting features to show you exactly why it makes such a great option not just for zoomers or empty nesters, but for anyone in the market for such a vehicle.

What’s new in the 2023 Jeep Renegade?
A host of updates were made to the Jeep Renegade ahead of its release for the 2023 model year, making it an even more exciting new vehicle this year. For example, the ever-popular adaptive cruise control technology is now standard on Limited trim levels. In addition, the 18” wheels on the Limited trim level and 17” wheels on the Trailhawk trim have been completely redesigned and the exterior color options have been expanded to include Solar Yellow.
The rest of the changes come down to what’s available in different trim levels and packages. We won’t list every single change, but the following packages and trims have changed around which features and technologies are included: Premium Group for Latitude, High Altitude Package for Limited, Limited Elite Group, Trailhawk Elite Group and Premium Lighting Group for Trailhawk, as well as the Upland Edition.
Available Trim Levels
Speaking of the different configurations that you have to choose from, let’s dive into the different options you’ll have when purchasing a 2023 Jeep Renegade of your own. Regardless of which trim level you choose, your Renegade will be powered by a 1.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine tethered to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain is capable of generating up to 177 horsepower alongside 210 pound-feet of torque.
You’ll have five different trim levels to choose from, including Latitude, Altitude, Upload, Limited and Trailhawk. In addition, you can opt for the High Altitude Package on the Limited trim level, which is almost like its own trim level.
