What’s new for 2023?

Although the Grand Cherokee 4xe was brand new for the 2022 model year, they still find a couple of changes to make in this its second year. The always-exciting Trailhawk model is now only available on the 4xe version of the Grand Cherokee. Furthermore, the Trailhawk 4xe now features standard Gloss Black exterior accents instead of the Neutral Gray ones it had last year.

How many trim levels are available?

Some people mistakenly assume that 4xe is a trim level, but in fact the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is its own separate model with four trim levels of its own. They start with the base trim level then move up to Trailhawk 4xe, Overland 4xe and Summit 4xe.

What is the electric driving range?

When driving the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, you’ll be able to travel purely on electricity for up to 25 miles when the battery is fully charged.

What is the charging time for a full charge?

In order to get that 25 miles of all-electric driving range you’ll need a fully charged battery, which takes 12 hours while utilizing the Level I charging cable that comes with the vehicle. Upgrading to Level II charging will decrease the charge time to just two hours, but it requires a 240-volt outlet and special equipment.

How much horsepower and torque does it generate?

The plug-in hybrid powertrain found in the Grand Cherokee 4xe includes a pair of electric motors, a 400-volt battery pack and a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Altogether, this PHEV powertrain is capable of generating 375 horsepower alongside 470 pound-feet of torque.
